Automotive Battery Chargers – Exclusive for the BMW Group
Since 2020, akkuteam has been developing and manufacturing customized chargers for BMW Group workshops. These special chargers for starter batteries, each designed according to a comprehensive specification, are assigned a tool number after approval by BMW and are distributed worldwide exclusively to BMW partner workshops via BMW's internal sales network. These devices are designed with charging characteristics according to global Group quality assurance specifications and some have special functions that are only used in the BMW Group's internal testing processes.
We offer a worldwide service for repairs and technical user support for the many devices that akkuteam has already delivered to this market. SL50 - BMW Showroom Battery Charger
A powerful 12V charger with 50A rated current. Specially designed for supporting the electrical system of exhibition and presentation vehicles. The charger takes over the supply of consumers in the vehicle electrical system up to 50 A and then charges the battery again at loads above 50 A up to 14.8 V vehicle electrical system voltage for lead batteries and 14.0 V vehicle electrical system voltage for lithium batteries, and then change to 13.4 V trickle charge to keep it ready for use. Easiest operation with with not any adjustments. Plug in the main cord, attach the charging clamps, done – just plug & play.
Visually appealing design in an aluminum housing with a very flat construction. The charger fits under every vehicle and can also be operated inside the vehicle. Absolutely silent without a fan. The SL50 is also suitable for all battery types.

- Charging operation for lead-acid batteries: Automatic charging with IUoU characteristic.
- Charging operation for lithium-ion batteries: Automatic charging with IUoU characteristic.
- Support operation: Supply of switched-on consumers in the vehicle during the charging process. Supply of presentation vehicles in the showroom.
- Trickle charge: Automatic switchover to trickle charge after full charging is complete. Automatic switch back to charging and support mode as soon as a consumer in the vehicle is switched on.
